Danish Brotherhood Magazine (Danish; English)
This magazine is the second continuation of the monthly members' publication of the Danish Brotherhood Society. It was printed from 1972 through September of 1995, at which time the Danish Brotherhood insurance plan was merged into Woodmen of the World in Omaha, Nebraska.
This is a continuation of Det Danske Brodersamfunds Blad after the switch to primary use of English. For that earlier Danish Lanauge magazine, see Repository -> Library -> Danish Lanuage Publications.
This is the monthly magazine of the Danish Brotherhood Society. It runs from 1916-1940. From 1941 through February of 1972, the name was changed to Danish Brotherhood Magazine (q.v.). The name was changed again in March of 1972 to American Dane (q.v.), which was published through 1995. As one might guess from the progression of names for the publication, it began as Danish-only and gradually progressed until it was almost entirely in English. ISSUES MISSING: March and August of 1936; all of 1938.
