Blair center 1908

Taken from the 1908 plat map of central ("original") Blair, this section shows the street layout. The numbering/naming system for Blair's north-south streets changed in the mid-1950s. The numbering scheme was reversed and the old principal north-south street, Walker Street, became the new 16th Street. The modern street numbers are given in RED on this map along the path of Lincoln Street. Washington Street, the principal east-west street, is one block north of the red numbers. Note also the rail lines, particularly those turning south toward De Soto between what are now 13th and 14th Streets. This path is still visible in overhead (i.e. Google Maps) views.
